This summer I was in Melon, a beautiful village in the west of Ourense, near the border with Pontevedra.

One of the tourists attractives of Melon are the Pozas. The Cerves River, in which they are, falls from high mountains in a few kilometres, through a rocky zone with a lot of vegetation. In its descent, there are waterfalls and good places for the bath. The river is very clear and cold. In the highest part of this, the pozas are use by the nudist who search the calmness don’t find in the beach in this place.

In summer, the pozas are visited by many tourists, above all people from Ourense that escape from the hot of the city.

Melon has an important Cistercian monastery: Santa Maria. It is located in the centre of the village, but I couldn’t go in because it was close.

Several years ago I went to the Pozas and they are beautiful, but arriva to them it´s no so easy. You have to go up by a narrow path during fifteen minutes and in the route you´ll find many obstacles like tree´s roots or difference in height. As you say it´s a good idea for young people who want pass a less hot day.
