ARAN VALLEY

The area of Aran Valley is situated in the west extreme of the Catalan Pyrenees and it has an Atlantic climate. Nowadays the Valley is divided in 6
areas called: Quta Locs, Lairissa, Marcatosa, Castièro Arties Garós and
Pujòlo.
The capital of Aran Valley Is Vielha, that has a very interesting church from the XII century and it`s important because it lodges a Romanic crucifix and a museum that shows us elements of the culture in the zone.
You can find Romanesque art in every corner of the valley; small churches surrounded by natural frames, most of the churches have become in Gothic art.
The landscape of Aran Valley has mountains more than 300 metres high
and deep valleys with areas of forest, areas of pasture and crystalline
lakes, all of this makes a beautiful and natural space to relax.
The valley has the appropriate climate that favours the existence of
different animals like eagles, partridges, quails… Hunters and fishermen have a paradise where the forests lodges several savage species like fallow deer, wild bears, rabbits…and the rivers have different species of trout .
You can practice sports too like mountaineering, climbing, archery, rafting,
canoeing , paragliding and more…there are many enterprises that are
specialized in organizing and coordinating the sport activities of the area
in order to guarantee the security of these sports .

The ski has a very important role in this zone because there is the Baqueira
Beret ski resort, that has an enormous extention. The Baqueira Beret ski
resort is one of the most important in Spain .
The best way to recover from a day of adventure is to taste one of the most
important dishes in the area: “Olla Aranesa” .Other products can be the pâtés, the wild boar or the deserts.
You can participate in the local parties celebrated during the year;
traditional dancing like “Es Esclops” , “Es Aubades” and “Eth Puntet”
there are parties related to the country and the animals.
People from the valley are very hospitable and share their local parties with visitors.

I like your text very much and I think that you have done a really very good job. I think that because you mention the most important things of the Aran Valley. I only hope that you described it very well because just when I finished reading it, I would like to go some day. I also like the picture and I think that with it you help the people who read it to imagine the beautiful place that it is.

I like your article because you describe aran Valley very well.
Last year I was there, but I don't have a good memory; I was for four days in Vielha, because I have family there.
It's true that it is a beautiful place, but you can see all the village in two hours, and...What do you do the rest of the time?...My visit was boring, very boring. Furthermore all the things in the shops were expensive.
But, if I am sincere, I would come back to Vielha only to see the spectacular views of the snow-covered valley.
